Selling and listings

How listings are ordered

What decides the order of listings in Explore and in search.

Updated 30 October 2026

Explore

Explore shows the newest listings first.

Search results

Results come in the order you choose in Sort by. Filters decide which listings you see, not their order.

  • Best match: listings whose title has the words you typed come first, then ones found by the town’s name. Inside each, the nearest to you first, then the newest. Every search starts here.
  • Closest first: your locality, then the ones next to it, then the rest of your island, then the other island. Newest first in each.
  • Newest first: the most recently listed first.
  • Price: by the asking price.

What does not change the order

Who the seller is, their reviews and how fast they reply.

Nearest means nearest to the locality Explore is set to. You can change it at the top of Explore. On a results page, tap How results are ranked to read this in the app.
